Highlights of our summer trip programing include:

  • Destinations change from year-to-year. The adventure of visiting a new location also teaches valuable lessons in planning and being flexible.

  • Performance focus - we go as athletes. This includes both rewarding our strengths as well as learning what our weaknesses are.

  • Our staff serve as mentors, coaches, and climbing partners. We want you to learn what it takes to stay safe and to maximize your potential on rock. Our example and passion will help you achieve your best.

  • An emphasis is placed on onsight and flash attempts. We try to avoid spending too much time on projects, as they tend to overtake the overall outcome of the group. Furthermore, we don’t allow “grade-chasing.” Grades are relative; they may reflect an outcome, but they are often self-limiting when it comes to true potential.

  • Learn what it takes to go on a real climbing trip. We teach our athletes life skills that help prepare them for the long game of being a climber and an athlete. Taking care of ourselves is just as important as climbing success.

  • Group food preparation is mostly vegetarian - we use minimal animal products in our meals.

  • We’re positively influencing the future stewards of our climbing areas; leaders who can preserve access for generations to come. As climbing continues to grow in popularity, it’s critical that we get youth on board with issues such as: overuse, aging hardware, environmental concerns, public-private partnerships, and general goodwill within the climbing community.
