Grips for Good - Finely crafted climbing holds made from reclaimed hardwood lumber
Needless to say, our ability to take motivated youth and young adult athletes to the best rock on earth has been dramatically reduced this year. In order to keep the ship afloat, owner Aaron has combined his sculpture skills (BFA Montana State University 2004) with his love of climbing, coaching, setting, and training, to hand craft basic and beautiful grips from salvaged, reclaimed, and scrap hardwood lumber. Grips for Good aims to provide inspired athletes with training holds, while minimizing waste and petrochemical usage. All holds are made from repurposed lumber, keeping it out of the waste chain. Solar power is used for a large percentage of electricity needs. The carbon output from shipping is offset. In addition, at least 20% of sales will be donated to non-profits dedicated to advancing racial and social equity for marginalized individuals and communities. These grips will do good in more ways than one.
All hold offerings are being sold locally in Bozeman, Montana, or through an Etsy shop at https://www.etsy.com/shop/gripsforgood.

I believe that black lives matter. I need to be part of the solution. I am listening now, and using my skills, resources, and time to participate. This is only one of the ways I hope to help make things right with the injustices that have benefited me personally. -Aaron
